Mini Vacation.

I had planned on making this post after memorial day weekend, but things have been a little not so good lately, and I kinda slacked off. I might actually post a few different posts tonight. So with the long weekend, I sort of took a vacation. My dad and sister drag race at PRP. A local drag strip near our house. We rented a hotel because it's an hour away and that would just be a pain driving back and fourth every day from Friday to Monday. Anyways, we get up there Friday night thinking it's just a normal night. Make it a couple rounds, hang out with some friends and go back and do it again the rest of the weekend. Well, it didn't really work out that way. My dad kept winning rounds, and we made it to the finals! We were there till about 2 am and it was so worth it. I'm so proud of him. It was such a good time too. The rest of the weekend went pretty well. We didn't make it as far, but it was still a good time. And I have pictures from the win!

My sister, mom, dad and I.

The group. (:

My dad with the best pit crew ever, pretty much.

Oh and another thing. My sister sprained her ankle the week before, so she pretty much was the butt of all jokes the weekend too. It was a good time though. We put her in a scooter on our Wal-Mart run.

Goals.

At the beginning of April I had started a savings competition with a co worker. I had originally had the idea for the beginning of the year as a new years resolution. It was harder than I thought to over come my spending/shopping addiction. I have hardly bought as many shirts/jeans/jewelry as I had last year. I'm so proud of myself. I know it may not seem like much but I feel like things are finally coming together.

I went to the bank today to open a savings account and ended up opening a virtual wallet. Seemed like a better choice, and I really hope it works out and I don't just spend the money I'm saving. In the past two months I've put $500 in there, and as long as I put in $150 a paycheck, I'll reach my October goal, but I plan on doing more than that just to prove I can do it.

Other than that it's been a really crappy day and my baby is sick, so I'll probably end up spending my Saturday at home, playing the Sims3. Sounds fun, right?

At least tomorrow we get to spend some quality time. I feel like I haven't seen him in forever. That's all for now. (:

Long time gone.

I feel like I haven't been on here in forever. I always check it but never have the motivation to post. This will probably be huge just to catch up, but oh well. Bear with me, please. (:

My Birthday was at the end of April. Every thing since that has been a real blur. My work best friend's birthday was the beginning of May. We went out for that, and I ended up in the hospital that night with stomach problems. It's been on and off since then, but it's getting better now.

To be honest, I can't even remember what I last blogged about.

Last Monday, I went to see Monday Night RAW in Pittsburgh. (I had gotten the tickets for Travis as a birthday present in March.) I thought I was going to hate it but I had a really good time! We got to walk right past Flavor Flav on the way in. Not a huge fan, but something neat.

Racing has started so my weekends are going to be packed! Last weekend Anna was out first round, and dad made it to 3rd. For not racing all winter and not having first round start till 9pm, and being there since 10:30am, it was a long run. My dad got his car painted over the winter and all he got was compliments on it. Compared to last year it looks so much better!

Before. (Just primer)

Now.

I still haven't gotten back on my diet, and my tan is fading, but I have been doing decent at saving money. Not great, but I'm getting there. With that said, I haven't planned a vacation this summer, because I'd rather save. How sad is that? Maybe sometime near Christmas for a tropical vacation. I think yes. (:

Well, I'm going to finish up watching the hills and I hope you all are doing well! I plan on posting more soon.

Swimsuits.

I recently purchased a Magicsuit from Victoria's Secret. I had been looking for a more 50's style one piece and most of the bathing suits I found ranged from $100 to $150. As I was searching and pretty much coming up short for what I wanted I came across the magic suit from Victoria's Secret. It sucks you in, I believe it says two sizes, to me it didn't look that much but it still sucked me in. It is somewhat pricey. $150, but I got about $30 off for spending so much, it took off all the shipping and about $10 more dollars. It ran pretty small so I ended up having to get a size bigger than I wear. But I'm quite impressed and can't wait to show it off in the next month or so. I also got it in Eggplant, not black.

Juno.

I totally forgot how cute this movie was. I need to watch it again sometime soon. Brings back memories, that's for sure.

Life's a beach!

With summer soon to be on the way, I can't help thinking about the beach. The weirdest part is I've never been there! Yep, I'm 22 years old and have never seen the ocean. This year I plan on some how make it there if it kills me! If you've been there, what are some beaches on the east coast worth traveling to?!

Jellyfish.

If you don't know already, I love jellyfish. I can't wait to go to the zoo this summer and see some.

Easter Sunday.

So this year was the same as most in the past. Wake up, go to Church, Have lunch/dinner at either my house, or a relative's house. 'Cept this year I got a boyfran and my aunt and uncle got a lot more done on their house.

Saturday night I stayed at Travis' so I didn't have to get up super early to get ready then drive to pick him up and drive back to my house for church. I set my alarm for 7:10 am, didn't wake up till about 7:45am. Thankfully I still had enough time to get ready. Threw on the dress I had planned to wear for my birthday and we ran out the door. Travis looked so cute. He had on a yellow button down shirt and a gray vest over top. Wish I would have gotten a picture!
When we got to church the kids put on a little program, we had breakfast downstairs, and then went back upstairs for church. It was nice, I have such a hard time sitting through the services though.

After we left church we headed over to my aunt and uncles. My cousin was busy planning the Easter egg hunt for all the little and big kids. Of course I had a hard time finding all my eggs, looking for things and I don't get along very well, if you don't know. After all the hunting was over it was time to eat. Boy, my aunt sure knows what to make. I was so full, I fell asleep shortly after eating.

After all the festivities, Travis and I went back to his place and watched a few episodes of The Office and called it a day. I went back home and wished it wasn't Sunday night already.

Here are a few pictures from the day. Most are all the same so I'm only posting a few.

Did I mention Anna and I wore the same dress, too? Yeah. :/

Travis and I. (:

Awkward.

I creep on him sometimes. (:

Difficult Situations.

Have you ever been in a situation with someone you really care about and they lied to you. Over something that wouldn't be a big deal if they didn't hide it, but since they did, it made it ten times worse? That's the situation I'm in right now. I honestly don't know how I should feel, because I don't like being lied to but at the same time I can understand somewhat why I should be understanding. I'm not one to air out my personal problems online, because it's not the place. I'm still kind of just at a loss of what to do.

With all that said, I found myself caught in a bunch of drama over the weekend that I wished never happened. It's funny how you can be out of high school since 2006 and people still manage to drag you into stupid things without your permission/consent.

I don't know what to feel at the moment.

Dwell.

As you all know. I love modern home furnishings and dwell gives me such good ideas of what I want to do when I get my own place within the next year. I'm so excited.

Monday, March 22, 2010

It's been a while.

Today is officially one month away from my birthday. Not a big one, 22 years, but I'm pretty excited I must say.

Oh blogger, I apologize for not posting much lately. I've had a decent amount of stuff going on, you see. I've had Both of my cousins' birthdays. Kayley turned on in February, which I believe I posted about. Skylar just turned 10! I feel like I'm getting so old now. I've been planning Travis' birthday weekend. Well Saturday since he's going home Friday and wrestlemania is Sunday. I also went to Ohio with my him for the weekend. I've pretty much been spending weekends over there, so that takes away a lot of my computer time. When I'm not spending time with the friends, family and boyfriend, I play a lot of this....

Yeah, my computer manages to delete the current game every two weeks or so, and I have to start over. I guess that's why I play so much.

Most importantly though, my dad got his dragster painted this weekend. I really wasn't too fond of the orange, but it's growing on me. It just makes me super excited for racing season, that's for sure. Only about a month to go till it starts.

well anyways, I really do plan on updating sometime this week. Hopefully sooner than later.

xo.

Busy Busy Busy.

I feel like I've been slacking on here. I should be back up to speed sometime this week. (:

Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s.

So, I purchased this little gem on Amazon last week.

After debating on whether or not I wanted to get it, I caved. I hadn't used any of my tax money on myself this year, so I figured something little wouldn't matter. I also noticed that Urban Outfitters was selling it for $130. So glad I researched and found it WAY cheaper other places. Just in case anyone else is interested, Amazon had the best deals. I planned on using it when I went out places but I couldn't help but try it out when I got home today.

New Look.

So I got a blog makeover thanks to Adori Graphics (you should check out her link on the side of the page). I'm in love with it and I hope you all enjoy it too. It kind of puts me in the mood for spring and summer as well.

Also, I've got a new button, so if you'd like to put it on your page, that would be really neat, and let me know, I'll put yours on mine. <3

I feel like I haven't been on here in forever, but I have so much to post about, so be prepared. : D

A little motivational on a Monday.

I'm thinking...

This place needs a new look. I'm gonna work on that either later today or tomorrow. (:

Thank you and you're welcome.

I got the Kanye West book "Thank you and you're welcome" for valentines day as you saw in one of my older posts. I still haven't finished it all but there are so many inspirational things in there. Believe it or not. I wanted to post one or two.

"To most people 'to use someone' carries a negative connotation, but I don't see it that way. To 'miss', 'over' or 'ab' use someone is negative. To use is necessary and if you can't be used...then you're useless."

"Would you rather have 100% from an average person or 10% from someone who is outstanding?"

"2 keys 2 happiness. One.. being able to tolerate things that make you unhappy. Or two... being able to change things to make you happy. Now if you have a low tolerance and don't have the ability to create change, there's a good chance you will be unhappy."

"Believe in your flyness, conquer your shyness."

"The missing banister theory. When walking down the street, you can walk in one line perfectly without ever falling over. Now take that same city block, make it a foot wider, and then put it a hundred stories high. You're going to be so focused on the fact that you don't have a banister, that you're more likely to fall because of it. When you're so focused on what you don't have...you won't have. Isn't it interesting how one thing changes everything?"

Running on empty.

So this past weekend was pretty eventful. After getting home from shopping with my sister, I thought about cleaning up my room but doing it the next morning just sounded a whole lot better. I was exhasuted but I stayed up till about 1:30 am, I think?

Saturday I got up an hour earlier than I had even planned and started getting ready for the day and cleaning. Early in the afternoon, I got a shower and got all done up. Went to the bank, got gas, got my car washed (though the weather is still so crappy it looks like I didn't!) and picked up Erin. Dropped her off at Shaun's then got my boy. We headed back to my house for my little sister's 17th Birthday family party. I think it wen't pretty well for it being the first time he met my parents. People started leaving and the only ones left were my cousins. We had planned on going shoe shopping then to the movies, but I took too long to get ready and we just made it for the movie.

Anna's birthday cake from Costco. The moouse in the middle was the only part I really liked.

She's cheesin.

Skylar with Kayley and I.

Probably one of my favorite pictures of Skylar and Kayley.

Travis can't even keep his eyes open. :/

Much better.

So we went to go see Shutter Island after the party and I thought it was pretty awesome. I guess everyone has their opinions though.

Sunday I met Travis' parents because they came over that morning to bring him money and stuff. After that I had to fly and pick Erin back up then head home for Adam's Confirmation party. The food was awesome, but I was so embarassed, I fell asleep on the table, because I hadn't really slept the night before. They had a juggler and everything, that was REALLY neat.

Well, hope everyone else weekend went good too!

Funday Friday.

After a day that felt never ending at work, I finally got to go home and amazingly my Alice in Wonderland shadow box came in already. I can't believe it was that quick. It's so cool. I still can't decide if I want to use it or keep it nice at least for the time being.

Anna and I went dress shopping today. I got her a dress to wear to the banquet next week as a birthday present. It's very cute. I got the same one, but I'm wearing it out for my birthday in April. I also got a very cute pair of heels on clearance for $30. I don't have a picture of them yet but when I wear them next week hopefully I will.

Here's some of what we tried on...er well more me...

I can't wait to get my camera back tomorrow.
I also put in my opal plugs in the bigger size. I'll have to show them off too. (;

Things I am currently enjoying.

Things I've been enjoying lately. It's been a while.

My iPod.

Since I had gotten Sirius radio, I haven't used my iPod much in my car. I'm totally loving my iPod again because I use it at work all the time. Sometimes I just want to tune everything out. Thanks to this, I can. (:

Polariods.

I really want to find myself an instant camera. I've seen them before just can't remember where.

Summer.

I really wishing it was. I'm so sick of the snow and the cold and driving on slush and ice.

Anything Modern.

Self Explanatory.

Shutter Island.

So pumped for this movie. One of the two I am really looking forward to this year and I'm going to see it with the boyf on Saturday night.

Having my nails done.

This way they don't get all gross and short and it's bad enough the winter is making my hands dry. At least my nails look good. And no, those aren't mine.
